About Me
I am a licensed Family Therapist with extensive clinical experience evaluating and treating children, adolescents, and families. I have had a private practice since 1996 that focuses on child therapy, family relationships and parenting issues from a developmental and depth psychology perspective.
In 1975, when I first moved from New York City to California, I started working as a preschool teacher. I went back to school, received a Masters’ degree in Human Development. In 1982 my focus shifted from early education to the developmental and behavioral issues that challenge families and perplex many of the people (like me) who worked with children. I trained at Cedars Sinai Hospital, joined their Staff, studied at The Graduate Center for Child Development and helped create a protocol for evaluating children in groups. Then I took maternity leave and it wasn’t until my youngest children were in Kindergarten that I went back to work and began to establish my private practice.
